We are at new invasion front in the good ole USA. Mexico our wonderful neighbor is encouraging it's people come here. It has been reported since February 2005 on several news stations in the USA about a booklet the Mexican government has published for it's citizens on how to by pass America's boarder patrol and enter the USA in various poorly patrolled spots. They are calling this "La Conquista, the new conquest of America"
In Texas there are citizen "soldiers" who have taken upon themselves to assist the boarder patrol. They are armed with hand guns and assult rifels. No one has been shot yet, these weapons are for self defense. Only time will tell.
People the problem here isn't immigration...it's illegal immigration. That hurts everyone in the country legally, illegally and naturally born. We need to push for stiffer laws to combat this, not arms. The fact is anyone who is here or born here owes it to their parents, grandparents or great grandparents, ect. coming here from another country.
If your going to come here, wait your turn, come here legally. Your children will thank you and the economy will thank you too.
The fact is, if the Mexican government truly has this booklet and has declared, officially or unofficially to infiltrate our boarders. friendly or not this is a defacto state of war against our sovereign boarders. Short of military intervention, there is truly one answer. The construction of an impassable wall. Shades of the Berlin wall? Perhaps, but the meaning is different. This wall is to protect people on both sides from illegal acts and possible personnel harm. With citizen soldiers out there, how long do you think it is before some poor soul who only wants a better life for his family gets shot coming to America illegally from Mexico? We certainly are not going to go to war with Mexico again, unfortunately, there very well could be another civil war in this country, this time non Hispanics against the growing Hispanic population.
This article may sound like I'm a bigot, I'm not, but I am concerned for all involved. I am not against the immigration from any country, if my grandparents hadn't come over from Italy, I would not be here as an American citizen and my children would not know the liberties and many wonderful things we have here for our citizens. Just come here legally, with welcome arms. Leave MS13 behind we have enough problems and crime.

Off and running.....ENGLISH DO YOU SPEAK IT!
Well as promised here's a heated source of frustration!
Ever go to ...Well pick a place... Your favorite store, or used to be, because every time you go in there no one understands what the heck you are saying. Why? Didn't you know you just entered an international time zone where everyone speaks their own bastardization version of ENGLISH and you need an interpreter. And they all look at you like your the stupid one for not undertaking their perfectly f__ked up words....Oh yeah I said keep it clean. What is the deal here? Don't folks coming into the country have to learn basic English? Isn't there some sort of educational training program they have to go to? Did grandma and grandpa have this much trouble when they came over form Italy...More power to them. Do we need to reopen Ellis Island?
Ebonics is bad enough, let alone broken English
Being the constant stirrer of the pot, as I am known, I went to McDonald's with a co-worker from fire service. Behind the counter was a young lady from some Hispanic country. We ordered our meals and a soda. The person with me wanted to make sure that the soda they were getting was classic Coke and not the new one they tried. By the time the manager and other co-workers got involved...5 at this point and 15 minutes later, My friend was finally able to get her Classic Coke. Of course when I got to the counter I decided to order an Orange soda...Classic of course.
The point is how can companies hire folks who work in some sort of customer service based field that services mostly one form of a language, English in this case and have non-English speaking people providing the service. What if you called 911, and the voice in the other end didn't speak your language. Ok in fairness, if you are a foreign speaking person and you call 911, most centers have a translation service through phone companies, or personnel available. So this may not be a good example but it gets my point across. If public safety organizations ran with the level of incompetence as most bussinesses do...well I can tell you as a paramedic, I would have had many dead patients.
One last thought, which will really be my next post. Who the heck is in this country legally? No one in Wal-Mart.
